Looking to Jesus
Hebrews 12:1-2
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
When we face hard times, we must steadfastly look to Jesus...in all things consider Him.
Many times, weighed down by our struggles, we grow tired and weary and we began to doubt worry and grow faint under the challenges and trials we face.
Worry and doubt make us grow tired, but faith in Christ strengthens us!
We must not faint under trials, but believe and stand, knowing that we are under the care of a wise and gracious Father, and that as born again believers, all things work together for our spiritual good.
We must fix our eyes on Jesus!
We must be rooted and grounded in Him, knowing that by grace, through faith, nothing can separate us from Him. He is with us, will never leave us and will strengthen us as we trust Him! His promises and presence bring us great joy!
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
